World Water Monitoring Challenge

In 2013 there were 180,000 data entries from 51 counties. Data collection continues throughout the year so get your kit a start monitoring your water.
World Water Monitoring Challenge™ (WWMC) is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local waterbodies.
I just got my World Water Monitoring Challenge kit and began testing the water in the local harbor: Monroe Harbor, Chicago IL.
See what's inside the kit: slide show.

The kit contains everything one needs to monitor four parameters of water including temperature, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and pH. The kit is suitable for children and adults. Teacher guides and lesson plans are available in English and Spanish.
